I grew up in a small town in Idaho, attended college in Washington State, moved to Arizona for a couple of years before landing in Los Angeles. I came to Aliso High School/John R. Wooden High School after teaching for two years at a local junior high. Once I came to Wooden, I knew that I had found my home away from home, a home where I have “lived” for 25 years. I am married and have two children who have both finished college and are on their way to establishing their careers.  Motivated by my childrens' educational success, I returned as a student to obtain my Master of Arts in Educational Administration.

The expectations that I have for my students are very simple: be respectful to all staff and peers, to do the best they can academically, and to give back to the community. The staff, students, parents, and alumni have made JRWHS a very special place to work and to attend. I feel very privileged to be able to come to this amazing place on an almost daily basis.
